AVON DAY
In recent years the Busy Bees have hosted an annual Avon Day Celebration. This celebration takes place on the first Saturday in June at the Old Avon Church. It is a day of old fashioned fun starting with a sausage and biscuit breakfast followed by a parade, old-time games for all ages, local craft displays and sales, lunch, and often musical performances. |

It is a time to celebrate our history, for neighbors to enjoy each other in fun, for old-timers to return to visit and for the public to enjoy our Avon country hospitality. The ladies host public meetings on local issues, assist in local blood drives, prepare breakfasts and luncheons for local logging operations, pick-up trash on the highway, have craft and homemaking demonstrations.

Busy Bees' float is a tradition during the Deary Days parade, held the first Saturday in August. The ladies go all out and usually take the first prize. |
Halloween is a great time to have some serious fun.

For years the Busy Bees have been hosting an Old Fashioned Christmas Dinner.
