Recreation & Tourism

Congratulations on your decision to pursue a degree in Resource Recreation and tourism (RRT)! Resource recreation and tourism professionals are the people who create and maintain the earth's special public places and who heighten our experience of those places. In many ways, there is no better time to embark upon such a career path. Employment opportunities are on the rise and becoming more diverse. Protection of wild places and the management of natural resources for recreation, tourism and aesthetic values have become top priorities among citizens, business leaders, and decision-makers both in the U.S. and around the world. In-depth understanding of the ecological, social, political and management principals as they apply to the protection and sustainable use of outdoor recreation resources is now a valued asset.
