with a broad, integrated perspective of the diversity of forest ecosystems
and the many resources -amenities, products, services, and values - that

This degree has been accredited by the Society of American Foresters for over 60 years. M.S. and Ph.D. programs are also offered in a wide variety of specialties. While studying in our department, you will
have many opportunities to gain valuable experience in understanding the
forest and working with people. Students actively manage a unit on the
college's experimental forest, as well as participate in numerous class
field trips to the forest. The expertise of our diverse faculty covers a wide range of subjects, such as ecology, silviculture, forest genetics, nursery management, remote sensing, forest health and geographic information systems, economics, sociology, policy and watershed management. Faculty members have received numerous awards and are recognized both nationally and internationally for their research. Almost all have international experience. |
