Ozzie's Lymphosarcoma Blog for Week of February 9, 2007 (chemo protocol week #22)






This week is an "off week" for any chemotherapy drugs, so we didn't need a blood draw and test on Thursday. Ozzie is having a good week chasing birds and squirrels in the back yard; with the warmer weather, there's little snow on the ground to limit where he runs.

As the week progressed, the weather warmed, which melted the snow and allowed us to get in a couple of afternoon walks. On Thursday we went to the vet's for Ozzie's weigh-in and blood draw. Ozzie has again gained weight, he now weighs 43.6 pounds, more than a pound from the last weigh-in. The good news about that is that Ozzie has an appetite, the chemo hasn't affected his taste for food. We hope that once the weather is nicer, with more walks Ozzie's weight will go back to the 40-pound level.
