I have enjoyed photography ever since I picked up a camera. I enjoy capturing an instant or a scene.
Your mind can remember some things as a good view or event, but a photograph gives a much more vivid picture
and captures the essence of the moment, at least better than my memory. My photographic knowledge has sprung
from personal experience and general reading. During my undergraduate schooling, I took a film photography class
exploring lighting, aspect and general camera function. Since then, I have used very little film media and photograph
for the most part in digital format. My technique comes from my past experience and a guess and check
sort of style which is easily done with a digital camera. Currently I shoot with a canon 10D.
I was born in Ohio and moved several times with my family to Pennsylvania and Indiana before settling in
Moscow, Idaho 1992. I graduated from Moscow High School in 2001 and then pursued a degree
from The Ohio State University. I attained a B.S. in Natural Resources in 2006.
Currently I live in Pullman, Washington and am working on a masters degree in biological systems engineering at
Washington State University. My interests are in fisheries science and resources as well as ecology.
Outside of work and school, I enjoy sports and the outdoors. I am a OSU football fanatic and like traveling.
