A Big Thank You from the MISSION ENDOWMENT COMMITTEE The ME committee members want to thank all the members of Emmanuel who have supported Mission Endowment in 2007 through their monetary and time contributions; taking time to nominate deserving organizations; and praying for ME to reach the financial goal one year early!! In the paragraphs that follow a description of how the funds were raised and distributed. From 1 January through 30 September, $5,600 was raised through the Change the World bank, service auction, Holy Groundz, rummage sale, golf scrambles, plate donations, and memorials. We will probably deposit another $1,500 by the end of the year. This year we also paid tribute to Phyllis and Duane LeTourneau for their volunteer work at Emmanuel, the University of Idaho, and Moscow. The congregation had a 5-year goal of raising $25,000 for the endowment—after just 4 years, we already have raised $25,600! As of 30 September, the Endowment had a balance of $127,182. On All Saint’s Sunday, members spoke for the 13 non-profit organizations nominated (see nominators in the list below) for receipt of the $6,200 dollars available from the Mission Endowment.
