To all to whom these presents shall come: Know Ye I - George T. Wood - Governor of the
state aforesaid by virtue of the power vested in me by Law an in accordance with the laws
of said State, in such case, made and provided, do by these presents Grant to The Heirs of
John Roberts Sen'r deceased, their heirs or assigns Forever, Twenty five Labors of Land
situated and described as follows:
In Fannin District on the South Sulphur.
Beginning 1211 varas South and 736 varas West of the South East corner of
Jordan P. Wards 640 acre Survey a Stake from which a Hickory marked D. D. bears
South 10 degrees West 6 varas a Spanish oak marked X bears South 34 degrees West
5 varas.
Thence West at 107 varas South Sulphur 5 varas Wide course S. 45 degrees E. at
821 varas a creek 2 varas wide. Course South, 80 degrees East at 3900 varas prairie
at 4137 varas timber. at 4375 varas prairie, at five thousand and one varas a stake
from which a Hackberry marked D. D. bears south 34 degrees West 42 varas. Another
marked X bears south 33 degrees W 42 varas.
Thence South at 3800 varas timber at 440 varas to a branch 2 varas wide course
S 10 degrees East 4883 varas to prairie five thousand and one varas to a stake from
which an ash marked D. D. bears South 81 degrees East 65 varas an Elm marked X bears
south 80 degrees East 64 varas.
Thence East 118 varas to timber, at 120 varas a branch course south 340 varas a branch
2 varas wide course S 10 degrees W. at 356 varas prairie, at five thousand and one varas
a stake from which an Elm marked D. D. bears S. 84 degrees W. 107 varas another
marked X bears South 85 degrees W 107 varas.
Thence North at 2107 varas timber. At 3000 varas a creek course East at 4752 varas.
Sulphur 5 varas wide course S 45 degrees E five thousand and one varas to the beginning.
Hereby relinquishing to them the said Heirs of John Roberts Sen'r dec'd and their heirs or
assigns, forever all the right, and title in and to said Land. heretofore held and possessed
by the said State, and I do hereby issue this Letter Patent for the same.
