This is to certify that John Roberts has appeared before us the Board of Land Commissioners for the County of Red River and provided according to Law that he arrived in this country Sept 1  1836 and that he is a married man and is entitled to one League and Labor of Land upon condition of paying at the rate of $2.50 for every labor of Arable land and $1.20 for every labor of pasture land which may be in the survey secured to him by this certificate.  Given under our hands this 7th day of Sept  1838.
