After installing the gunwales, I quickly saw a major problem. I had tried to cold bend the ends to follow the sweeping curves of the raised bow and stern. While this held after gluing with epoxy, the addition of stringers also under stress was too much for the end forms. In short, they "let go" and pulled up from the strongback. After a reassessment, I removed the stringers and gunwales, cleaned them up and decided to prebend them before installation. I also beefed up the end form attachemnts.
