Long kayak at WBC, Seattle
This boat is located at the Center for Wooden Boats on Lake Union in Seattle. The boat hangs upside down under the entryway to the docks.
I've rotated some of these shots to a more normal perspective. I found this kayak to be unique both
in it's design (4-person, and long) and construction. The construction technique that interested me was
the way the plywood deck smoothly bent up to form the coamings, all in one piece. This occurs both inside and outside.
The tractor style seats were also one piece molded ply.
Many thanks to Ben Staley for taking these photos. Next time I'll remember my camera, Ben!
